"SWIFT Updates"
In collaboration with other AFP Canadian chapters, the SWIFT team will present selected topics that target both Corporate and Financial institutions representatives in order to improve their understanding on the tools offered by this global organization as well as update regarding ongoing initiatives.
Keynote Speakers:
Raymond Cho
Ray Cho leads the North American Business Development team at SWIFT, which includes coverage of corporates, financial institutions, and partners.
Prior to SWIFT, Ray oversaw strategic initiatives for the Chief Commercial Credit Officer at Capital One. While at HSBC, he managed the US Regional Bank Client Coverage team within the Financial Institutions Group where he had oversight for strategy, credit, and risk management. Ray has also managed client portfolios at Standard Chartered Bank and has held a variety of transaction banking and finance roles in the banking industry. Ray holds an MBA from the University of Virginia and a BS from Binghamton University.
Maria Tolia, Regional Account Manager, SWIFT's North America Business Development Team
Maria Tolia is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with corporate customers and strategic partners.
Maria joined SWIFT in 2014 and has held a number of roles in Business Development working with clients across the Americas and UK region. Prior to joining SWIFT, Maria was an International Banker at several financial institutions in Latin America with responsibility for banking, credit, and relationships with Fortune 500 companies, high net worth individuals, and regulators in numerous jurisdictions. Maria earned her BA in International Relations and a Diplomate in Financial Risk Management from the Universidad de Panama.
Christopher Ritz, Regional Account Manager, SWIFT
Christopher Ritz is a Regional Account Manager at SWIFT with a focus on corporate clients.
Most recently, he was a Customer Engineer where he worked with clients to consult and design technical solutions while resolving complex technical inquiries. Prior to SWIFT, Christopher was a Systems Administrator for Unisys Federal where he managed a data center, built servers, and maintained a demonstration center as well as a test lab. Christopher holds a Bachelor's Degree from George Mason University and is currently working towards his MBA at Western Governors University.
