Creating a Leading-Edge Payments System: A transformational journey at the Canadian Payments Association

Find out how the Canadian Payments Association (CPA) is transforming its operations and vision in 2015 and beyond to ensure a leading-edge payments system that responds to the changing payments environment and the future needs of Canada’s financial system. The payments ecosystem is evolving at an unprecedented rate with the introduction of new technology, products and new industry participants. At the same time, enhanced global standards for risk management are being implemented and regulators are reviewing the governance, oversight and public policy objectives of payments systems around the world. We will check in on the progress of key initiatives, such as image-captured payment exchange. Plus, you will learn about how recently-passed federal legislation and a new CPA Strategic Plan will help shape the modernization of payments in Canada.
