Treasury in 2016: Managing Complexity

In 2013, Treasury Strategies, Inc.'s presentation focused on 'Treasury at the Crossroads'. Fast forward to 2016 and we see exponentially increasing complexity. The markets, the regulations, the banks, the FinTech companies are all in a state of rapid change. Volatility, diverging global rates, commodity price changes, liquidity gaps, widening spreads, Basel III - never has treasury had to deal with so many moving parts at one time.

This presentation will provide some insight into how Treasurers and Financial Professionals are gearing up to manage complexity given the current challenging business and economic environment. Treasury Strategies, Inc's' recent survey of 2016 treasury provides a wealth of information on this topic. It examines treasury priorities around thirty-four distinct activities and focuses on how to address both the strategic and tactical challenges. Today's organizations are building high quality internal teams, partnering with best in class external resources and honing their technology to meet these challenges. The presentation will hopefully provide a framework for organizations to think about their 2016 challenges and assist in their preparation of a blueprint to make 2016 their best year ever!
