The complexity and uncertainty of market forecasting often leads to unproductive committee discussions when reviewing asset mix. This session will demystify asset mix and help investors overcome the challenges by providing:

• An appreciation of forecast merits and shortcomings;
• Complementary analysis to traditional mean-variance optimization approaches; and
• An overview of a structured process to committee discussions,

Having worked in Canada, the U.S. and the United Kingdom over his 25 plus years in the investment management and consulting industry, Peter spent his early years in consulting which culminated in leading two of the major investment consulting firms in Canada and globally.

After joining one of the leading Canadian insurance companies to start up a new business venture, he pioneered the first buy-in annuity in Canada. In 2011, he joined Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group as Senior Vice-President, Institutional Strategy, to work collaboratively with plan sponsors and consultants in finding effective ways to develop and execute investment and risk management solutions.
