Green Bonds - An Issuer's Perspective
Export Development Canada (EDC) was the first organization in Canada to issue a green bond. The presentation will highlight the challenges and opportunities EDC faced as one of the pioneers in this evolving market. EDC helps Canadian companies go, grow, and succeed in their international business. As a financial Crown corporation, EDC provides financing, insurance, bonding, trade knowledge, and matchmaking connections to help Canadian companies sell and invest abroad. EDC can also provide financial solutions to foreign buyers to facilitate and grow purchases from Canadian companies.

Susan Love
Vice-President and Treasurer, Export Development Canada (EDC)
Susan Love was appointed Vice-President and Treasurer in June 2013, reporting to the Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer.
Ms. Love has over 25 years of capital markets experience. She has worked in every role in Treasury – short term borrowing, investments, long term borrowing and technology – and has navigated through a wide variety of market conditions.
Ms. Love graduated from the University of Ottawa with a degree in Business Administration, with an Honours in Management Information Systems and is fluently bilingual.
